Formation: Line dance

Step right to side and bring it back
Step left to side and bring it back

Feet are together, turn the toes out, turn the heels out, heels are turned in, toes are turned in.
Arm movement is as follows; when toes are turned out arms are turned up as if in a "W"; when heels are turned out arms are turned down as if in a "M" position. Repeat when heels are turned in ("W") and when toes are turned in ("M").
Cue: Toes, heels, heels, toes; or out, out, in, in.

Bring the right knee up waist high and back to place.
Repeat knee up and back. (No pause in between). As you place
the right foot down, turn it to the right as you kick the left
foot to the right, turn one quarter to the right and walk back
3 steps, left, right, left to begin the dance again facing a new direction.

There is a short introduction to the song.
Begin after "5,6,7,8" is sung.

First 8 Counts:

Grapevine to the Right (step with Right foot to the right side, Left foot steps behind the Right, step Right foot to the side and Left foot closes beside the Right) (1-4)

Grapevine to the Left (step with Left foot to the left side, Right foot steps behind the Left, step Left foot to the side and Right foot closes beside Left) (5-8)

Next 8 Counts:

Step with Right foot diagonally to the front.
Close with Left foot.

Step with Left foot diagonally to the front. Close with Right foot. (1-4)

Repeat diagonally with the Right foot.
Repeat diagonally with the Left foot.

(Hands do a pumping action during these 8 counts: As you step, arm are straight at sides. As you close, bend elbows so fists are at shoulders.) (5-8)

Next 8 Counts:

Standing in place,
Move Right hand to Right hip.

Move Left hand to Left hip.

Move Right hand to Right back pocket.

Move Left hand to Left back pocket.

Clap 2 times.

Point to head with both hands.

Bend Right knee and point to Right foot with both hands. (1-8)

Last 8 Counts:

Take 4 steps backward-Right, Left, Right, Left. (1-4)

Jump in place 4 times. (5-8)

Repeat dance until end of song.

Formation: Double Circle, inside hands joined

Boys on the inside of the circle, girls on the outside. Move LOD(CCW)

Walk forward 4 steps beginning with R - Walk backwards 4 steps to original place

Partners face and back away 4 steps, move toward each other 4 steps

Facing own R, walk forward 4 steps, then back up 4 steps

Form a R hand star with partner moving in a circle with 4 steps

Boy moves to own right to a new partner with 4 steps and turns to begin dance again

Step sideways L,R,L, stamp R one time
Repeat this sequence

Step R, stamp L, step L, stamp R, step R, stamp L 2X

(Cues: 5 steps with 2 stamps R.L.R.L.; 3 steps one stamp, R,L,R,L; 1 stamp, 1 stamp, 1 stamp, stamp, repeat)

Repeat dance. As dance continues, it becomes progressively faster.

Formation: Partners facing each other or a set of 4 dancers in a small circle with partners across from each other.

Count 1. Both hands slap own thighs as knees flex slightly.
Count 2. Clap own waist with both hands.
Count 3. Clap ownhands together.
Count 4. Partners clap right hands.
Count 5. Partners clap left hands.
Count 6. Partners clap both hands.
Repeat 7 more times. For a total of 48 counts.

Counts 49-96
Students make a right hand star and do 8 slow step-hops clockwise. The repeat step hops for 8 slow counts counter-clockwise.
For a group of 2, have students link arms and peform the step-hops.

My sincere thanks to the original dance diva, Margaret Razo for this dance. Margaret is partially retired now but she has had an amazing influence on me and taught me many dances. Thanks Margaret!!!!!

Formation:
Double Circle, partners facing each other 1-2 feet apart.

Wait for the intro to play

Start of lyrics,

Outer circle moves right, inner left the following, 1-step, 2-close, 3-step, 4-close(on the close partners clap hands together)

Partners now return with the same sequence, step/close step/close(clap hands together at the end) Whole sequence for above is 8 counts

After clap, partners immediatley turn to line of direction(CCW) and link arms. 1- Partners step with their outside legs together(inside partners left leg, outside partners right leg).....inside legs swing up(high knees) 2- then step with inside legs together, outside legs swing up with high knees. 3- repeat outside legs, 4- repeat inside legs. Whole sequence for above is 8 counts

Both partners know wave hands in the air as they turn clockwise(circle) for 8 counts.

Partners now are facing and each back up 3 steps and clap on the 4th then go forward 3 steps and clap hands together on the 4th. Whole sequence is 8 counts. Repeat dance from beginning



  Jingle Bell Mixer   (USA)   Music: Jingle Bell Mixer, Dances for Fun and Fitness, Wagon Wheel records, 2002

Thanks to Paul James of Wagon Wheel records for teaching me this dance.

Formation: Double circle. partners facing each other with men's backs to the center of the circle. Tie bells on wrists for jingle bell effect.

Move to the man's left and the lady's right by taking two slow slide steps followed by thress quick slides. (Slide together, slide together; slide, slide, slide).

Repeat the opposite direction.

Each dancer shakes oen ahnds at shoulder level 3 quick shakes. (Shake hands left, shake hands right, shake hands left, and shake hands right.)

Do-sa-do your partner. (Pass right shoulders and walk around your partner, passing left shoulders, and return back to the starting position.)

Clap right hands with partner 3 times (both use right hands).
Clap left hands with partner 3 times (both use left hands).
Clap bith hands with partner 3 times (straight across).
Slap own thighs 3 times.

Right elbow swing your partner once around to facing position.

Repeat hand claps again.

Elbow swing again, but this time the man moves to the left to a new partner.
